The postcard-sized handout provides a quick overview of the services and resources offered by the center and also correlates with the center's main initiative, "Passport to Great Teaching", which is a travel-themed teaching workshop certificate program. The handouts were displayed around campus so that faculty could become aware of the teaching help available to them.
My roles: Creative direction; graphic design; typography; marketing strategy
Inspiration & ideation: The center's tagline: Ignite, Inspire, Innovate was inspiration for the angled typography and geometric lines. This angled perspective is a depiction of the center's goal to promote thinking outside the box.
Results: The center saw in increase in contacts after the postcard was distributed throughout campus.
The Center for Teaching Excellence at UF promotes student success through transformative learning environments. Their services include teaching consultations, workshops, conferences, course affordability help, online course quality training, and more. The center needed a website revamp because visitors were confused by the UI and could not find resources and information.
My roles: Research, web design; UX/UI; photography
Inspiration & ideation: I took updated photos, added a concise mission statement to the homepage, and implemented UX/UI principles to improve navigation and user retention rates. Search bars were added along with a clear way to contact the center through the main menu which was not present before.
Results: The center saw an increase in teaching consultations, workshop and conference participation, and website traffic. The resource library web pages reached the first page of search engines when using the designated keywords.

The First Year Faculty Teaching Academy (FYFTA) workshop series is held several times throughout the academic year. New faculty are provided prep-work, readings, and resources in Canvas as well as activities within each workshop. To create more cohesion, I designed a workbook to compile the prep-work, activities, and resources that faculty can use as a guide beyond completion of the series.
My roles: Creative direction; layout design; typography
Inspiration & ideation: One of the limitations for this design was that it needed to be in black and white only. Strong typography and clean lines with ample white space created a modern feel so that color was not missed.
Results: In a survey, participants said they found the workbook useful and the layout made it easy to find resources and notes. The majority of participants said they kept the workbook for future reference.
